The West Shore Miniature Railway Experience

Starting on Good Friday and open all over Easter we are open Bank Holidays and Saturdays ( weather permitting ) from 12:00 to 16:00 where young and old alike can enjoy a ride behind both steam and electric locomotives on our track at West Shore.

A great family experience and photo opportunity with the Great Orme as a backdrop. The beach and the North Wales Cycle Path are nearby.
The railway is maintained and operated by the North Wales Model Engineering Society and members often run their own locomotives during our public running sessions.

Travel along the A55, turn off at Junct 18, signposted Deganwy A546. Travel through 2 roundabouts and on through Deganwy (Glan y Mor Rd). At the next roundabout bear left over the railway bridge. Take the 3rd road on the left into Trinity Crescent. (lookout for the Public Car Parking sign).

Please note: Non members are welcome to attend these talks but places may be limited,  There is no admittance charge but donations to the club are always welcome.

Public Access to The West Shore Miniature Railway.

Members of the general public will find the public entrance to the West Shore Miniature Railway south of the West Shore Beach Cafe. Follow the car parking signs to the adjacent Pay and Display parking accessed from West Parade/Dale Road. The public entrance is just past the Cafe.
If you are on foot, why not catch the Land Train from the North Shore Promanade (Pier Entrance) to the Childrens Playground at West Shore and then take a pleasant walk south, along the West Shore Promanade towards the Pay and Display car park and the West Shore Beach Cafe. You will find the Railway just beyond the cafe on your left.
